/ 01 — MISSION
A rocket built
as a system.
Casus began as an L1 certification rocket, but grew into a larger embedded-systems project: designing the vehicle, building a custom flight computer, establishing a live telemetry link, and creating the software needed to understand and recover it.
The project is still in development and awaiting its first flight later this year. With school in session, progress is deliberately paced—but the architecture, electronics, and ground-station software continue to evolve.
/ 02 — IGNIS FLIGHT COMPUTER
Small board.
Full picture.
Ignis is the custom avionics core of Casus. An ESP32-S3-WROOM collects motion, environmental, and position data, records it locally, and transmits live telemetry to the Dux ground station over a 430 MHz LoRa link.

/ 03 — DUX GROUND STATION
Flight data,
made visible.
Dux is a custom ground-station application developed in Python with PyQt. It turns Ignis telemetry into live visual feedback during flight and provides the position data needed to support recovery after landing.
Together, Casus, Ignis, and Dux form one connected system—from sensing onboard the rocket to interpreting that information on the ground.
